Faith Based Warriors
Most of us reading this page work in the secular world where we are paid a regular salary for the job that we've been hired to do.
In this section of our website can be found our Faith-Based Warriors who are of Asian American descent and/or who minister to and serve our Asian American community. I call them warriors because they are members of that special group of Christians who have been called by God to raise their own support in order to serve him on a full-time basis. Like pastors these faith-based warriors have been called to lead, train, and challenge God's children in their spiritual walk and service to God. But, unlike pastors, these faith-based warriors do not have an "established" supportive family (i.e., congregation) to provide for their needs.
Instead, they must "tell their story" and "share their need(s)" to the wider Christian community…and, in faith, trust that God will gather together a special group of people who will become their "special" supportive family.
This section of our website was created to introduce you to those faith-based warriors who serve in the New York Metropolitan area and to give you the opportunity to "hear their stories" and consider becoming a member of one or more supportive families. Each faith-based warrior's story includes different aspects of their service - the organization they serve, their calling, their ministry needs for the year, their pictures, and other biographical information.
Each story is different but, they all have one thing in common….each must raise sufficient support to begin, or to continue, their service to God. As you "thumb thorough" these pages and "listen to their stories," pray…pray and ask God what role, if any, you should play in the lives of these warriors. And if you sense God "tugging at your heart" to join one or more families, click on the appropriate link(s)…you'll find a very happy servant of God waiting on the other end, ready to thank you and welcome you into their family of supporters.
God does NOT expect us to support every need that "comes across our desk." But, he does expect that each of us will do our part in supporting his workers (Gal 6:6). Are you doing your part?
